Welcome TO
Your journey to wellness starts here. Whether you’re looking for community support through our Kumwe membership, transformative experiences in our small group programs and retreats, or inspiration through our creative arts and training initiatives, we offer a path tailored to your needs.
The name Omora comes from Kinyarwanda, meaning “to put a healing balm on it.” Our mission is to apply that balm to the mental health and well-being of Black individuals and communities. Based in Montreal, Canada, we work locally and globally, using culturally grounded, collaborative practices. Through research, interventions, training, coaching, and creative arts projects, we facilitate Afro-positive mental health and personal growth in our communities, nurturing collective healing and empowerment.
Kumwe (pronounced koom-weh) means “together” in the Rwandan language, and in our circle, Turi Kumwe—we are together. At Kumwe, we hear you, we see you, and we walk with you. Our circle is a space to face life’s challenges side by side, explore themes that resonate deeply, and discover what makes you feel grounded and clear. It’s all about finding comfort in your own skin and feeling confident in making choices that reflect the real you. Connection, growth, and clarity are at the heart of everything we do.
We introduce tools and practices—cultural, creative, spiritual, and neuroscience-based—that you can explore to see what works best for you. We break things down in ways that feel easy and natural, helping you connect with yourself and others. Whether you’re seeking growth, healing, or simply sharing in the journey, Kumwe offers the support, accountability, and community you need. With collective care, encouragement, and practical tools, you’ll have the guidance, laughter, and connection to move forward with confidence.
30 years caring about you
